Flare Care

Dermatology HCP Activation

The Situation

For people living with atopic dermatitis (AD), the search for relief never ends. Patients cycle through prescription topicals, a drawer full of OTC skincare, and, when desperate enough, they turn to everyday household items—socks, combs, gloves—repurposed as makeshift solutions. We needed to shine a light on these extreme measures and show there was a better way.

The Solution

Enter Flare Care: a satirical “product line” that rebranded everyday objects as if they were marketed for temporary eczema relief. Over-the-top packaging and mock positioning made clear just how far patients will go when real relief feels out of reach. To spread the word, we tapped into Skinfluencers: actors posing as beauty reviewers who teased the launch on social media. Through dramatized Flare Care product reviews, haul videos, and unboxings of a fake subscription box, they poked fun at the desperate hacks patients rely on, while driving viewers to FlareCare.com. The twist? The site redirected to our brand hub, where patients could learn about a treatment designed to provide more than a temporary fix.

The Status
The client loved the idea and bought the campaign. TBD on when / if it rolls out.

Flare Forum: An online hub where people can submit new product ideas (that should be ditched for long-term relief) to Flare Care.

Product Posters: Placed in beauty aisles, end caps, malls, public transit posters, bus shelter billboards.
